Halloween

My little monkey and Pocahontas had a great Halloween. We had the WHOLE family over for pizza and trick-or-treating. Both sets of Grandparents, Aunt Kim, Aunt Renee, Valerie and the Zimmerer crew were all partying with us. Julia was a very brave trick or treater this year and lasted for a whole hour. Andrew feel asleep, but he was super cute in his monkey costume.

Getting the Group Shot

Aunt Renee is so funny. She is always gathering the kiddos around her and switching her iPhone camera to the front to get a group shot of everyone. It totally cracks me up and tonight I got it in action.

Show me your sad face.

Show me your surprised face.

Show me your mad face.

The finished picture.

Carving Pumpkins

We had grandpa, Aunt Renee and Valerie over to carve pumpkins tonight. Jeff made chili and we roasted S'mores. Julia wanted a cat pumpkin and Andrew did not have an opinion! It was a chilly night, but we had fun. We missed Grandma, she was at the hospital with Grandpa Hansen.

Trunk or Treat

Today was Trunk or Treat at Bear Creek. It was our first time to attend. We decided to all dress up as the Hall Pirate Family. Even Andrew got in on the fun as Mr. Smee. The weather got really cold today so we visited all the trunks for candy fast and ended the night at IHOP for pancakes.

The Tooth Fairy

Julia finally lost her 1st tooth!!!! This was a huge deal, her tooth has been loose for 3 weeks and she finally pulled it. Jeff had a work event tonight and was on the phone with Julia asking about her day and if she was on green, etc. I was in Andrew's room changing his diaper. I hear her tell Jeff, my tooth is really loose. She runs into Andrew's room and the tooth is in her hand. I scream, hang up on Jeff and say "Oh my gosh you are bleeding!" I guess I totally forgot that you bleed when you pull a tooth, dummy me. We run to the kitchen get a paper towel and I have her swish some salt water in her mouth. In the excitement I forget to tell her not to swallow the salt water, she does and drama ensues. After I calm her down, get her to quit bleeding we all relax. It was a very exciting first lost tooth event, I am only sad that Jeff missed it. Oh well, she has a whole mouth full to lose, right?!

The Pumpkin Patch

Every year we go with Grandma and Grandpa Butts to the Halls Pumpkin Farm right down the road from our house. It is the cutest pumpkin patch complete with animals, hayrides, corn maze and PUMPKINS! It was so bright and sunny today that we are squinting in all the pictures. Julia and Valerie had so much fun feeding the animals and going through the corn maze with Jeff and Aunt Renee. Andrew just chilled in his carrier . . . just an easy going kiddo.

Andrew's First Solid Food

Andrew is 5 months old and it is time to start solid food. He is still having a hard time sitting up in the high chair so I have put this off for a while. But it is time! He was not too thrilled with the whole process but he will catch on.

3 Day Weekend

Three day weekends are the best! One extra day to pack in as much fun and family time as possible. Julia had Monday off for Columbus day, so Jeff and I took off too. The weekend started with a quick photo opportunity at the pumpkin patch. It was FREEZING outside but really cloudy, perfect conditions for some quick photos.

On Sunday Jeff took Julia to the Air Show. She had a fun time. She was more interested in climbing in the planes and helicopters than she was watching the show. They ran into Lily and Cooper while they were there.

Then to finish out the weekend we went to the Zoo. It was Andrew's first trip. We showed him all the animals, but he like being outside best of all. It was a nice cool day and all the animals were active especially the elephants.
