The Final Day of Fun!

Julia spent 90% of the last day on the beach in the water. Jeff and I took turns taking her out in the waves. If you ask her what her favorite part of vacation is, she says "the waves." We celebrated our last evening with dinner at the Boat House in the marina. After dinner we walked up and down the dock looking at all the boats and watching the fishing cruises unload all the fish. Julia was less than impressed but Jeff and I thought it was kind of neat.

We had fun at our last dinner in Panama City. We even had key lime pie on a stick for dessert.

This is the sandcastle she built earlier in the day. The way her hands are positioned I think she intends to destroy it.

Julia asked each night to take a walk on the beach in the dark. I think to a 3 year old that walking in the dark is exciting.

These pictures are worthy of being framed.

Captain Julia

Today was one of my favorite days on the trip. Normally I am all about the beach on a vacation like this. But watching Julia on the boat ride to Shell Island was awesome. She was so excited to be on a boat. We were able to feed the seagulls, watch dolphins and collect as many shells as we wanted. It was a perfect outing.

Julia really got into collecting shells on Shell Island.

Mostly all we did all week was Beach . . . Eat . . . Sleep. It was perfect. We spent the day at the beach today. For dinner we headed to a restaurant called Sharkies. It was Julia's favorite place of the whole trip. We ate outside and listened to live music. Julia really like listening to the band and having her dinner served on a frisbee. After dinner we headed down to the beach for a photo shoot. It was perfect day.
I never get tired of that face.

Monday, a great day for the beach.

We had a great day at the beach today. We went down first thing in the morning, had lunch at the Endless Summer Grill, naps and then back to the beach. For dinner we headed to Pier Park for seafood and fun. At the end of the outdoor mall there was a mini carnival. Julia was really brave and rode the airplanes all by herself.

Back to the beach after a nap time and an outfit change.

Dinner at Reggae J's. We saw some really loud Macaws.

Finally at the Beach

When we drove into Panama City Julia was fast asleep and she missed the drive in. Oh Well! Jeff and I were amazed at how beautiful the coast was. Sugar beaches, clear water that was blue and green. Amazing. Once we explored the condo we headed straight to the beach. Julia loved it, she was very brave with the water.
Our beautiful condo.

Julia is ready for her first trip to the beach.

Headed to dinner.

Vacation - Yeah!!!!!

We left for our beach vacation this morning. The trip down was great, we drove to Baton Rouge to spend the night. I took the first driving shift and then Jeff drove after lunch. We stopped for lunch in Nac Lousiana, where they filmed part of Steel Magnolias. We had lunch at a hole in the wall and ate meat pies. They were delicious. After lunch we walked along the river and let Julia stretch her legs. When we arrived in Baton Rouge we had dinner and headed to see Mike the Tiger at LSU. He was asleep, but we still got a good peek.
Did we pack too much?

This is what Julia looked like most of the drive to the beach.

She was so excited about the hotel room. She jumped from one bed to the other.

We finished the day with a trip to see Mike the Tiger at LSU.
