Picture of the Day

When Julia was born I took a picture of her each day during my maternity leave. I would e-mail it to our family and it became something the grandparents and Jeff really looked forward to each day. I remeber how excited I was the first day I got her to smile. I am going to try to do the same thing with Andrew, but post them on this blog. Today Aunt Renee came over to help out. She decided to do a sock monkey photo shoot. Pretty cute!

First Bath

While we were in the NICU the nurses taught us how to give Andrew a bath without a bathtub until he was done healing. We gave him his firt bath at home and Julia was a big helper.

Coming Home . . . finally!

On Sunday we were finally relased to come home. We had to see the NICU doctor, pediatrician and NICU nurse before we could go. We did not get home until 2 p.m. Grandpa dropped Julia off at the hospital so she could ride home with us.

A trip to NICU

All the festivities came to a halt on Monday evening when the doctors decided that Andrew needed to go to NICU for low blood sugar and jaundice. We were really bummed, we wanted to enjoy him in our room and have a quick stay at the hospital but it did not work out that way. He had a nasty looking IV in his hand and had to be under the light for jaundice until Saturday. Then we were relased on Sunday.

Visitors

Monday was the best day of our whole delivery experience with Andrew. All of our family was able to come and see him, hold him and celebrate his birth with us. It was a very special day. Valerie & Julia

Greeting Baby Andrew

Julia first got to see Andrew from pictures Jeff showed her while I was in the recovery room. Then they wheeled me down the hallway and she was able to give him the kisses she had been practicing for months.

The Baby Boy is Here!

Andrew Thomas Hall arrived on Monday, April 23 at 7:21 a.m. He was 8 lbs 14 oz and 19 3/4 in long. The c-section took less than 1 hour and once Andrew arrived we were able to spend some time with him alone in the recovery room.
There was a party in the waiting room while everyone waited for Andrew to arrive. It was a longer wait that we thought, but Valerie and Julie were troopers.

Mommy's Birthday

Today was my 33rd birthday. Ack! Julia could not have been more cute about my birthday. Jeff said she was very set on getting me bath soap that smelled like fruit. She gave me body wash and hand soap, it was hillarious. She also picked out a card that sang Happy Birthday with frog ribbits. Also included in my gift was this awesome picture. I was so impressed with her drawing and writing. And it made me laugh how her Daddy is listed by his first name.

Easter Egg Hunt

Every year we go the Grapevine Easter Egg Hunt. It is a very fun event with bounce houses, face paiting and hunting for Easter Eggs. Julia, Valerie, Grandma and I had a great time. The girls especially liked jumping in the princess bounce castle.
