Pre-K Graduation

Today was Julia's Pre-K graduation. It was at Colleyville Heritage High School. There was a cute program with this kids singing and several videos with pictures and clips of the kids. She was so excited to have her whole family there. Cooper and Valerie were especially interested in watching Julia on stage and finding her picture in the videos. Andrew peacefully slept for most of the program.

Andrew is now focusing on objects and cooing. Last night he spent a long time playing in his play gym cooing at the red bird and just having an evening of overall cuteness.

I tried to get a great picture of Andrew's outfit today. I love the string of fish and his name on the onsie. Half of my pictures turned out like this.

The other half of the pictures included a pacificer to keep him happy.

Well, you can't always have a baby who wants to take part in a photo shoot. :)

Andrew's Many Faces

Babies make the funniest faces at this age. Andrew's face changes by the second. You have to be quick with the camera to get all of them.

1 Month Old

Today Andrew is 1 month old!
Andrew is 10 lbs 13 oz.
He is 23.20 inches long.
He wears a size 1 diaper and size 0-3 month clothes.
He is a great eater and is still sleeping at least half of the day.
Andrew loves his bouncy chair, being rocked and sitting outside.

First Trip to Church

I was amazed that we all made it to church today. It was so nice to be out of the house and attend connection class. All of our friends were so sweet and made over Andrew. Julia loved showing him off to her Sunday School teacher Mrs. Hughes. Grandma Hansen gave him this cute outfit. It was a perfect fit!

The 1st Photo Shoot

I am sure we will do many photo shoots with Julia and Andrew, but this was the first. Julia is a natural at taking pictures. Andrew was wide awake and he just does not know what to do with his hands and legs yet. I think they are 2 perfect little angels and I love every picture we take of them.

Trip to the Doctor

We have been to see Dr. Walker 3 times since we were discharged from the hospital. For 2 weeks Andrew did not gain any weight. But today he was 9 lbs 6 ounces. He gained 7 ounces in 1 week. That's my boy!

"He's So Cute"

Valerie is amazed by Andrew. She keeps saying over and over, "He's so cute!". Then she promptly takes off his socks to analyze his feet and toes. She tells you that his piggies are her favorite part.

Picture of the Day

Today was a great day. We were on a perfect schedule . . . nap in the morning, nap in the afternoon and some awake playtime in the middle. We have not had time to go on a walk but maybe we can do that after dinner.

I love sleeping babies

At this age I love the sleeping baby photo. It makes me happy!

I want to remember how little he was in his bed as a newborn. One day soon he will take up the whole bed.

Picture Of the Day

I feel a major sense of urgency to remember every detail of when Andrew is this small. It must be knowing that we will never have a tiny baby in our family again. I did a good job of documenting and remembering my time with Julia when she was an newborn and I want to do the same with Andrew.

A princess and her boy

Julia has adjusted well to having Andrew around. We don't force her to pay attention to him, but she asks to hold him all the time and kisses his head every chance she gets. It is really sweet.

Today was a 3 outfit day, only because I am still getting used to changing a boy's diaper . . . if you know what I mean. But he looked adorable in all 3 of his outfits. :)

I wish I had marked inside each outfit who gave it to me. I love the little lion on this one. It amazes me how much he looks like Julia. They have the same mouth and a lot of the same expressions at this age.

I am trying to take Andrew on a walk each day. It is good for both of us to get some fresh air and I need to get my flexibility back.
